Remarks: An original matched set crafted by a Kaga Myochin smith. Remarkable Kaga style metalwork with highly detailed uchidashi.
The Kabuto is one of the best we have seen in this style. It is a 16 ken Hoshi Kabuto with a beautiful tehen and a five lame shikoro edged with imported Dutch leather. The maedate appears to be original as well.
The Dou features a stunning and rare uchidashi shi shi. The dou is finished with ornate kanamono and applied sawari silver splatter.
The Menpo is equally beautiful and has been expertly crafted.
All of the Sangu are original and the Haidate is a rare style crafted from sections of Dutch leather. The suneate are signed by Myochin Munekatsu.
This set includes its original bitsu.
