Remarks: A beautifully crafted Yadome style iron menpo with smooth facial contours and a deep curved jaw-line. This Menpo has an original russet iron finish and beautiful yadome side flanges. The interior of the mask is coated with red lacquer and in good condition. The yodare-kake is finished in lacquer with blue lacing and is original to this piece. The boar hair moustache is mostly intact and in good condition. An unusual feature (often found on better quality masks) is the Tsuyo-otoshi-no-kubo or perspiration drainage tube under the chin.
