Age: Mid Edo period.

Remarks: Jingasa were mainly used during the mid to late Edo Period. This Jingasa is a "Bajo" style. It features a beautiful dragon pattern flowing in and out of the sections.The front features two family crests in gold lacquer, one is the famous pawulonia crest while the other is that of the Tsuyama Clan. The interior is red lacquer with few losses. There is some minor lacquer losses along the rim with some minor insect damage which would be expected of an item this old. Overall this is a choice piece with wonderful detail.
