Age: Early Edo period.

Remarks: In the world of Japanese armor collecting no finer pedigree exists than to have been part of the world famous Kozu Kobunka Kaikan Museum in Kyoto. The collection began with the efforts of  Mr. Takatsu Yoshiie in 1934 as he went throughout Japan and collected the very best armor from old Samurai families and important collections. Impeccable provenance was the common theme. Today this museum ranks as the most important scholarly destination for armor collectors and researchers. Recently at Christies auction a Japanese screen from this collection set a record by having an estimate of over a $ 1 million. To own a complete Gusoku from this collection is in fact an honor. In this case we will let the photos speak for themselves.
