Age: Muromachi Period. (1333 - 1573)
Remarks: A beautiful example of a Warring Period Kabuto.
The Kabuto has flanges that have been capped by gilded so fukurin trim. Gilded igaki plates with decorative pierced inome and decorative engravings are placed between each plate. The egawa leather is original to tha Kabuto.
Three shinodare flanges cover the front plate and two on the rear plate typical of Kabuto constructed during this period. Beautiful engraved trim has been added to the edges of the shikoro.
A kuro urushi nuri kiritsuke kozane shikoro is fitting to the hachi with rivets that have been crafted in the shape of the crest on the fukegaeshi.
Publications such the Jyuyo Bunka Zai Shiro Zuroku regularly rank Kabuto such as this as the highest grade of Juuyo.
