Age: Early Edo-Momoyama Period. Circa 1580-1620

Provenance: The Shogun Art Collection

Remarks: Covered in Bear fur this Kabuto is very rare. Additionally a second level of fur surrounds the top part of the shikoro. The maedate is included with this piece. The top of the hachi has a tehen which is another unusual feature. The few pieces we have seen of this type are lacking this feature. This Kabuto is original and reflects it's appropriate age. It would make an exceptional addition to any collection. We have never seen an example quite like this.
