Tetsu Kuro Urushi Nuri Nama Zunari Kabuto
Age: Edo period.
Remarks: The use of hats, hoods, and other everyday headgear for Kabuto motifs was popular among fashionable warriors of the Sengoku era. That was the period in which central administrative powers of the shogunal court collapsed and provincial warlords battled each other for local advantage and ultimate supremacy. Warriors vying for leadership took to wearing the most conspicuous and unusual Kabuto to attract attention to themselves. The shape of this Kabuto without any specific meaning is still quite impressive and an excellent example of a craftsman's best work. This Kawari Kabuto includes a stand, shipping, handling and insurance to anywhere in the world.
