Muromachi period, Late 16th century,
Russet-iron Goshozan bowl inlaid with scrolling tendrils in silver, all riveted together and applied with gilt-copper fukurin covering the standing flanges of each plate, the crown mounted with a three-stage tehen kanamono carved with vines on a nanako ground, the mabisashi applied with stenciled doe skin, three chrysanthemum sanko no byo rivets and edged with gilt-copper fukurin.
